Werrington Scarecrow Trail showcases 1980’s vibes

Werrington Comes Alive with the 1980s vibes for the 2025 Scarecrow Trail

If you were in the village of Werrington — home of Insurewise — on Saturday, 17th May, you might have wondered what was going on as crowds of super-sleuths followed clues through the streets on the 2025 Scarecrow Trail. Children and adults enjoyed the creativity of local residents who made their scarecrows with a vibrant 1980’s theme.

Music icon, Boy George, took part in the event.

Familiar faces from the decade included music legends Boy George, Kate Bush, and George Michael, alongside iconic film characters from Top Gun, Ghostbusters, and Batman. The magic of the stage was also present, with a nod to the beloved musical Cats.

Insurewise was proud to support this fantastic community event, which brought together residents of all ages to enjoy some nostalgic fun while exploring their local area.

The Scarecrow Trail attracted children and adults from far and wide.

A big “thank you” goes to the Werrington Show Committee for organising the trail once again, to the talented residents of the PE4 area who created the amazing 1980’s-themed scarecrows, and—most importantly—to all the children and adults who took part.  Their enthusiasm, creativity, and shared memories of the stars of the 1980s made this event truly special.
